Tsuka ito is available in silk or in high quality doeskin. To determine how much ito you need to rewrap a handle, take the measurement of your handle in inches and add 4 to that number. That is the number of feet you will need to wrap your tsuka. So, a 12 inch tsuka will require 16 feet of ito to wrap it correctly.

Ito

Ito is used on the tsuka to wrap the handle. It is available in three widths and several colors. Please specify the necessary length in the "Qty" box at the bottom right, next to the price, when ordering. The amount needed for a handle is the length of the handle (in inches) then the number 4 is added to that number and that is the total feet required for a handle. Example: 12 inch handle + 4=16feet of Ito.
