47 Ronin

This is the most famous story in Japan. It embodies samurai ideals that are still held dear in Japan. The loyalty, patience, and ultimate successful completion of thier quest which led to the order, by the Shogun, to commit seppuku is a story revered in Japan. In the Sengakuji temple their graves are still venerated as symbols of loyalty and true samurai spirit.
