This premium quality Japanese white oak suburito bokken is extra long and heavy making it excellent for building the specific type of strength needed for swordsmanship. "Tanren" training (think of it as physical and spiritual forging) with a suburito allows you to learn how to control a heavier sword with your entire body rather than relying on arms alone. This type of bokken is 46 inches in length.

Please note that we only have the suburito without the groove at this time. Suburito have been extremely difficult to get in stock over the last few years with the increased interest in "internal training" in swordsmanship and martial arts in general. Each suburito weighs about 1 kilogram or about 2.2 pounds.
